In collaboration with the Street Art Cities platform, VisitKöln has created a new Urban Art Map that invites locals and visitors to discover Cologne's vibrant street art scene.

As part of Street Art Cities' international community, VisitKöln's Urban Art Map aims to highlight Cologne's impressive and extensive street art scene. It includes murals by internationally renowned artists as well as up-and-coming local talents and illustrates that street art is a multifaceted and powerful art form that significantly shapes the city's culture and identity.

The digital map provides an interactive overview of all murals and other urban art in the various districts of Cologne. By simply clicking on the markers on the map, users receive bilingual information on the exact location and the artist of the mural. Individual routes can be created so that users can explore independently or select routes that have already been compiled. A free app is also available, making it easy to plan a route while on the move. Thanks to the collaboration with Cityleaks, a local partner, there will also be an Urban Art Map available as a print version to enable analog discoveries. The analog map can also be linked to the digital version using a QR code.

"The Urban Art Map makes Cologne's rich street art scene accessible in an innovative way and its content fits well with the interests of our target groups," says Jürgen Amann, CEO of Cologne Tourist Board. "We are proud to be part of this global network and to create this unique experience in collaboration with Street Art Cities and local partners such as Cityleaks." Bart Temme, founder of Street Art Cities, adds: “VisitKöln is our first choice for a partnership. Its vibrant street art scene and many cultural attractions make Cologne a must-see destination. Therefore we are incredibly excited to present the city to the global street art audience.”

The Urban Art Map is now available online. The print version is available at the Tourist Information. The Street Art Cities app can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store.
