#urbanCGN - cologne urban lifestyle
In 2016/2017, the theme “#urbanCGN – cologne urban lifestyle” will be the major focus of the services offered by the Cologne Tourist Board. In a special campaign, the traditional themes such as Cologne Cathedral and the Rhine will be supplemented by a stronger emphasis on contemporary themes inspired by Cologne’s urban lifestyle.
What does the term #urbanCGN signify?
#urbanCGN includes all the elements that combine to make up Cologne’s modern urban lifestyle, as well as the trends that are shaping the city’s urban habitat and its people. And of course that also includes Cologne’s “Veedelskultur” — the unique local culture of the city’s neighbourhoods and the many ways in which people can identify with their home territory.
#urbanCGN stands for Cologne’s dynamic urban lifestyle, which is shaped by a vibrant economy with tremendous creative potential. That includes the city’s “off scene”, its start-up scene and a multifaceted population that is known for its openness and tolerance.
#urbanCGN focuses mainly, but not exclusively, on themes in the areas of design, music, art, fashion, festivals, street art and food.
We will be using a new blog and our social media channels to tell stories about Cologne’s creative minds and their projects. And we’ll be showing that Cologne’s urban lifestyle is making waves all over — in Germany and around the world.
