Kick Like a Woman - A Musical About the Courage to Fight for Your Dreams

A Musical About Courage and Big Dreams
--------------------------------------

The musical "Kick Like a Woman" brings the 1981 Taipei football miracle to the stage: after the German Football Association (DFB) declines to take part, SSG 09 Bergisch Gladbach travels to Taiwan at its own expense for the first unofficial Women’s World Cup—and returns as world champions.

This true sporting story is intertwined with that of Conny, a fictional waitress who dreams of football and an independent life. With courage, solidarity, and passion, the women stand up to prejudice and outdated gender roles—in an emotional, humorous story with an unmistakable 1980s flair.

Look forward to catchy songs, big emotions, and innovative stage technology. "Kick Like a Woman" is a rousing musical highlight for your visit to Cologne.
