On this guided tour, historic breweries provide insights into a brewing culture that goes far beyond the freshly tapped beer at the bar: the top-fermented beer speciality Kölsch and regional dishes such as ‘Himmel un Ääd’ or ‘Kölscher Kaviar’ are symbolic of the city's peculiarities and deep connection to its culinary tradition. In addition to this gastronomic approach, there is an encounter with elementary figures of brewery culture such as Köbes and Zappes - job titles that describe far more than just staff, but are an expression of an authentic and self-confident attitude to life among the people of Cologne. The special atmosphere of this tour is characterised by the openness and conviviality that have always characterised the Old Town. Cultural and historical backgrounds are combined here in a lively snapshot with the present-day reality of Cologne, a city whose identity is characterised by a constant dialogue between tradition and cosmopolitanism. **Duration of the tour**: 150 minutes Additional fees for group tours conducted by the Cologne Tourist Board: | Read more Dates ----- Useful Information ------------------ Price info German: € 235.00 Foreign language: € 270.00 Read more Eligibility - Target Group Adult - for Groups More information Where, when and how often you can stop off at a brewery can be found on site.
