John Doyle

John Doyle's linguistic odyssey through Germany
-----------------------------------------------

"What does leave the church in the village mean?"

"It means: Leave the church in the village."

"And what does that mean?" "I thought you already knew English!

"Accompany the American comedian John Doyle on his 32-year linguistic odyssey through Germany. With a twinkle in his eye, he talks about the mistakes he has made - and the lessons he has learned from them. From marriage and raising children to the joys of everyday life - every laugh is a step closer to cultural understanding.

An evening full of humor and people who sometimes get on our nerves, but often also make us smile. Otto Waalkes himself was amazed: "I didn't know that an American could be so funny in German." Be part of this unique discovery, because Doyle has finally unlocked the secret of "Lass die Kirche im Dorf"!
