STATE OF MATTER

Exhibition

An exhibition between art and nature awareness

At Kunsthalle Lindenthal, matter itself becomes the protagonist when the "STATE OF MATTER" exhibition opens its doors. The creative minds Jovita Majewski, Rainer Jacob and Johanna Reich pose fundamental questions about the interaction between humans and nature. In a world that is in a spiral of hectic change, their works hold up a mirror to the viewer and call for a rethink in the way we use the earth's resources. Majewski uses her surrealist visual language to raise awareness of the decay of natural resources and climate change and invites us to form a new alliance between man and nature.

Jacob's sculptures made of wood, ice and metal highlight the everyday in a surprising way, questioning materiality and revealing human social influences. The works in the exhibition are not only aesthetic objects, but also tactile reflections on the political situation of our time.

In her works, Reich emphasizes the discrepancy between human and technological development. By looking at artificial intelligence, she raises questions that challenge the traditional view of human superiority. Human characteristics such as emotionality and intuition are cast in a new light and call for a re-evaluation of the idea of progress.

At the opening, Karina Syndicus will continue the thematic arc of the exhibition with a performance and build a bridge between architectural influences and psychological aspects. The exhibition is accessible free of charge and invites visitors to rediscover their own perspective on the cycle of nature and social responsibility.
