The Cologne Giant Ferris Wheel is back at the Cologne Zoo and once again offers spectacular views over the city and the zoo at its feet.
At 55 meters high, the Ferris wheel is one of the largest transportable Ferris wheels in the world. The 300-ton steel giant is equipped with a total of 42 gondolas, each of which can carry 6 passengers.
252 passengers can enjoy the panoramic view at the same time.
As last year, attractive combination tickets await visitors to both attractions, granting alternating discounts - for admission to the zoo as well as for a ride on the Ferris wheel.
The standard price for children aged 12 and over is €9.00, children aged 4 to 11 inclusive pay €6.00. On presentation of a zoo ticket from the same day, the prices are reduced to €7.50 and €5.00 respectively.
In return, the zoo also grants a discount on zoo admission of € 2.00 on standard tickets and € 1.50 on children's tickets upon presentation of a Giant Ferris Wheel ticket from the same day.
The Giant Ferris Wheel not only meets the highest safety standards valid throughout Europe, but the entire operation also pays attention to ecology, sustainability and climate neutrality.
The operator has had its climate footprint determined and uses voluntary CO2 compensation to offset emissions that ultimately cannot be avoided when operating such a Ferris wheel.
