Cologne Public Library

The headquarters of Cologne's public libraries is currently located on Hohe Straße as an interim location, as the building on Josef-Haubrich-Hof is currently being renovated. This means that one of the largest public libraries in the country is currently located in the commercial center of the city.

The city library has a collection of around 850,000 media, ranging from fiction and non-fiction to music, digital media and streaming services. Another special feature is the "Library of Things", which allows you to borrow musical instruments, games or other beautiful things.

Finally, the library is also a "third place" where events are held, intercultural promotion takes place and people can simply linger.
