International art positions in the heart of Cologne-Ehrenfeld

Since summer 2023, Empire Zero One has been a new dynamic venue for creative encounters and internationally relevant art in the heart of vibrant Cologne-Ehrenfeld. Installed in an industrial building from the early 20th century, changing exhibitions showcase the work of national and international artists. With her privately run art space, founder and curator Iren Tonoian consciously sets the tone between social discourse, individual reflection and aesthetic experience.

Historic building substance meets the contemporary
The architectural heritage in combination with modern art installations opens up a field of tension that is both aesthetically and discursively appealing. The atmosphere of the former industrial hall remains visible, while its raw character offers space for experiments and critical, contemporary positions.

Socially relevant themes and cultural exchange
The Empire Zero One art space focuses on themes such as diversity, individuality and social responsibility. Various exhibitions reflect on socio-political issues, ethical challenges and intercultural dialog. Beyond the aesthetic experience, the art here is a source of inspiration for critical debate and social change.
