raum13 Deutz Centre for Fine Arts
The former Deutz gas engine factory, once the birthplace of global motorization in the 19th century, has been transformed into a hub of cultural transformation and urban development through the raum13 project since 2011. Where the history of mobility was once written, a stage is now set for discourse on climate change, democracy, migration, and the transformation of urban life.
With artistic depth and an interdisciplinary approach, raum13 is transforming the industrial wasteland of a global corporation into a vibrant arts and culture center. As part of a political and social debate, raum13 bridges the past and the future: the site’s historic fabric serves as the foundation for a real-world laboratory where new forms of living, learning, and working are designed and tested.
In collaboration with experts in architecture, sociology, and the arts, the Otto & Langen Quarter is being shaped into a hub for theater, creativity, and cultural neighborhood development. The raum13 Deutzer Zentralwerk of Fine Arts combines urban history with new spaces for art and social exchange.

Parking facilities
- You can get to (H) Stegerwaldsiedlung on tram lines 3 and 4. It is about 900 metres on foot from (H) to raum13.
Alternatively, you can take the bus (lines 150 and 260) to (H) Auenweg. The walk from the (H) to raum13 is about 350 metres.
