24th Cologne Theater Night
On November 29, 2026, Cologne Theater Night will invite visitors for the 24th time to experience the diversity of Cologne’s independent performing arts scene. In this new festival format, the Depot Köln will serve as the central hub for theater, dance, performance art, contemporary circus, and other forms of the performing arts.
Independent Cologne-based groups, ensembles, and venues will present excerpts from current and upcoming productions. Instead of hopping back and forth between many different venues, you can move from stage to stage in one location and discover the independent scene in all its diversity.
During the day, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., the focus is on young audiences. Family Day offers plays, workshops, and interactive performances for children and families. In the evening, Theater Night continues: Between 5:30 p.m. and 11 p.m., performances for adults change every half hour.
This makes Cologne’s Theater Night a vibrant festival day for anyone who wants to rediscover theater, meet artists, and experience Cologne’s independent cultural scene all in one place.
