The Cologne City Museum tells the impressive history of the city from the Middle Ages to the present on approx. 2,000 square metres. The museum is housed in the historic Zeughaus.
The armoury, which was built by the imperial city of Cologne as an arsenal of weapons, was built around 1600 in the Dutch Renaissance style.
