- How to use your KölnCard
- Your KölnCard entitles the cardholder to enjoy the various benefits listed in the E-paper.
Please note the opening hours of each service providers. - You need to present your KölnCard to the respecting service provider before receiving the benefit that is offered. Please show your tourist card before ordering to the staff at restaurants.
- A Group Card is valid for a maximum of five people.
- Card holders have the right to use local public transportation within Cologne free of charge - including buses, trams, commuter trains as well as regional trains (2nd class) of the transportation network.
Maps of the local transportation network are available here: public transport maps of Cologne. - A KölnCard becomes valid as soon as the name of the cardholder (for a group card, at least the name of one group member) has been entered along with the date and the time. To use your KölnCard for free local public transportation, you need to validate the card at a ticket stamping machine before your trip at the station, or immediately after boarding the vehicle. The KölnCard remains valid for 24 or 48 hours after it has been used or stamped for the first time, depending on the type of the KölnCard.
- A KölnCard is non-transferable, and is only valid in combination with an official personal ID card or passport.
- The purchase of a KölnCard does not entitle the holder to make warranty claims against the official Cologne Tourist Board (KölnTourismus). The Cologne Tourist Board is acting solely as in intermediary for the listed service providers. The Cologne Tourist Board does not assume any liability for the individual benefits.

- Information for Resellers
You can obtain the KölnCard for a special rate to offer your guests an ideal means of discovering Cologne on their own directly on site. By this your guests mobile in a very convenient way - not least to the included map of downtown Cologne, showing the locations of all the accredited KölnCard service partners as well as the main sights in the city centre.
You can order ten or more cards any time via e-mail. The ordered cards will then be provided conveniently to you by e-mail without a surcharge. In case of the KölnCard being reissued, you can exchange unsold cards for new ones.
