Idyllic pub in the Belgian Quarter

The Forelle Blau has been open in the Belgian Quarter since August 2019 and proves that modern pub flair and Cologne tradition can harmonise. Located next to the Barracuda Bar, the pub offers a cosy atmosphere in which rustic furniture, selected drinks and football broadcasts set the tone. The former cult pub Bierstüffje has been successfully transformed into a meeting place for all generations. With ten freshly tapped draught beers, including seasonal specialities such as Christmas beer and Oktoberfest beer, it offers flavour and variety.
The menu features regional and seasonal ingredients - including dishes such as sauerkraut stew or smoked trout with salad. The preparation method is as well thought-out as it is sustainable: pre-cooked, vacuum-packed and served on site to ensure freshness and quality and avoid waste. The large window front and the outdoor area invite you to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the Belgian Quarter with a freshly tapped Kölsch. Fans of 1. FC Köln will not miss out either, as the matches are traditionally broadcast live.

Under the management of Tobias Mintert, the Forelle Blau has long since become a symbol of Cologne hospitality - unagitated, authentic and cosmopolitan. A place that shows how diversity and tradition can go hand in hand.
