THE CIRCLE

What happens if we allow the digitally sharpened camps to develop in an analog and real way? What if we decide for ourselves what and how we position ourselves? In the real world and face to face?
The circle is a performative invitation to position ourselves publicly together. The group of participants and performers constantly generates new "we "s in front of an urban backdrop. We without children. We with money. We with a cheap rental contract. We without you. You without us.

The participants can expect a setting in the middle of a public square and yet protected by a game, by the soundtrack that carries them through the evening. Open to the outside, yet protected on the inside by the rules of the game.
Someone leaves the circle and someone goes into its center. Others join them. All those who have never been envious of their neighbors stand up. All those who have never lied come to me, I am hovering above the ground on the Chlodwigplatz.
Following a simple formula, an open evening is created. Elements are flexible, dynamics are found together with the participants, reaching culminations, condensations. But pausing again and again at fixed, secure pivot points, being together in the here and now promises genuine empathy.
All those who have ever gone to the toilet in the bar just to look at themselves in the mirror, please look in the mirror with me.

The performance will not take place at the Freie Werkstatt Theater, but on Cologne's Chlodwigplatz.
It will take place whatever the weather! Please bring appropriate clothing and an umbrella.
