Drama

A theatre about the most beautiful and angular minor matter in the world.

George is an ambitious coach of the first team of the traditional English club Northbridge Town. The club is languishing in the English third division and there is no real hope of improvement. Everything changes for a moment when the club is drawn to play Liverpool FC in the FA Cup.
The city goes crazy, everyone eagerly awaits the match, which will also be broadcast live on television. When the time finally comes, the big dream seems to be over after just two minutes. Liverpool take a commanding lead. But then the miracle happened: in the last minute, 19-year-old youngster Darren Quinn scored the equaliser and made the sensation perfect. Northbridge Town is upside down!

After the victory celebration, George and Darren walk home together, as they only live a few streets away from each other. On the way, Darren confesses that he has fallen in love with his coach and kisses him. The fact that this is not the kind of kiss that seems to be allowed between men - and certainly not in football - is mercilessly presented in full page size by the tabloids. George's life takes a dramatic turn.

The rules of football are clear. If you stick to them, you can go far. Anyone who doesn't conform to the closed system of this man's world will fall accordingly.
What happens to real blokes and male friendships, to pats on the back and team spirit when homosexuality is suspected in a world in which the word "gay" is only used as a standard insult for the opponent's fans?
