International art encounter at Kunsthaus Rhenania

From 22 to 24 August 2025, the Kunsthaus Rhenania will be the venue for an extraordinary cultural dialogue under the motto "Art = Peace - The Cultural Heritage of Cologne", which pays tribute to the cultural heritage of the Rhine metropolis. It is an intercultural encounter that takes visitors into a multifaceted world of art, lectures and performances. The opening will be introduced by Mayor Andreas Hupke with a lecture on August 22 at 6:30 pm, followed by numerous specialist lectures, including Annette Imhoff from the Cologne Chocolate Museum, who will shed light on the city's sweet history.

The highlight is the exhibition "Remembrance as Future - Colonia: Bridges through Time and Culture", which presents works by prominent artists such as Boris Becker and Günter Demnig. These works reflect on memory, identity and the colorful cultural diversity of Cologne over the millennia. A rousing performance "Rhythm of Peace - Tolerance in Motion" by Gwendolin Gemmerich & Gregor Weber merges dance and intercultural movement into an emotional expression of peace and tolerance.

The aim of the event is to emphasize the importance of cultural heritage for the promotion of peace, tolerance and understanding. It is a living source of inspiration for overcoming borders through art, which builds bridges between people as a universal language. Visits are possible on Saturday and Sunday exclusively for invited guests.
