Feature films, documentaries and short films from over 20 African countries

The Africa Film Festival Cologne, presented by FilmInitiativ Köln e.V., opens its doors from September 18 to 28 and shows Africa's cinematic diversity. With over 65 films and contributions from 40 international filmmakers, the festival offers a broad spectrum of feature films, documentaries and short films from over 20 African countries and the diaspora. Under the patronage of Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese, themes such as cultural identity and social responsibility are brought to the fore. One highlight is the opening film "How to Build a Library", which deals with the preservation of cultural values. The supporting program offers interactive dialogues, workshops and city tours that focus on diversity and inclusion.
