Enchanting Christmas: Célébration

From December 10, 2025, to January 4, 2026, the neo-Romanesque St. Michael's Church at Brüsseler Platz in Cologne transforms into a stage of fantasy and poetry. "Célébration" is the title of Cirque Bouffon's latest Christmas show, conducted in collaboration with the "Church for Cologne". This production combines the magic of Advent with modern circus art and Christian traditions into a unique experience.

Directed by Frédéric Zipperlin and co-directed by Helena Bittencourt and Goos Meeuwsen, an international ensemble of artists, musicians, and clowns brings a poetic story to life, accompanied by the music of composer Sergej Sweschinski. The show reflects on essential themes such as hope, joy, and community, presented within a magical dream world that takes every viewer on a contemplative and simultaneously festive journey.

Visitors can expect a production full of light displays, acoustic mastery, and non-verbal communication that speaks directly to the heart. "Célébration" is more than a show—it's an invitation to contemplation and shared dreaming, wrapped in the distinct language of Nouveau Cirque. The combination of the sacred church space and innovative performance promises an unparalleled experience of Christmas spirit.
