Junges Filmfestival Köln / Cinepänz

For over 30 years, the Cologne Young Film Festival, known as Cinepänz, has been shaping the city's film landscape and inspiring young viewers with a diverse film program. In 2025, the festival will take place from October 4 to 9, presenting a wide range of films - from exciting documentaries to captivating animated films. International festival insider tips and works by up-and-coming filmmakers will be highlighted. The festival pursues a holistic educational approach that goes beyond film viewing. The festival's inclusive program is more extensive than ever this year. There are selected film screenings that are translated live into German sign language, film screenings with subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing and various inclusive workshops.  The events are not only aimed at families and children, but also at school classes and are accessible to everyone. In this way, Cinepänz creates not only a cultural but also a social experience that invites young people to actively participate and contribute beyond the screen
