On the summer solstice, the Midsummer Festival at the Chocolate Museum enriches Cologne's cultural life in the Scandinavian style. The symbolic centerpiece of the festival is the midsummer tree, which is decorated together and erected in a festive ceremony. An accompanying cultural program offers juggling, musical performances and encounters, while children's activities such as puppet theater and a play tent underline the family character of the festival. In addition, a Ferris wheel opens up unusual perspectives of Cologne with an impressive view of the Rhine and cathedral.
