The "RollOut: On post-colonial traces" bike tour takes a critical look at places where Cologne's colonial history still manifests itself in the urban space today. Between the Stollwerck community center and Cologne Zoo, traces become visible that are often overlooked in everyday life and yet raise important questions about memory, responsibility and urban historical politics. The starting point is Trude-Herr-Park, from where the approximately twenty-kilometer route leads through seven selected stations in three hours and ends at the TH Köln in the Römerpark - a place where current research on cultures of remembrance is taking place [1]. The tour offers space to discuss which perspectives are present in the city's history and which have been marginalized. Through interactive impulses, multilingual mediation and an inclusive approach, a joint discussion is created that takes both prior knowledge and initial points of contact seriously. Participation is free of charge, the group size is deliberately limited and bicycles are available for hire if required.
