Soundings
The next installment of the Soundings series features a performance in which Hannes and Andi Teichmann continue their signature work at the intersection of electronics, acoustics, and social interaction. As musicians, DJs, and curators, the two have been developing collaborative practices for years that connect different scenes, spaces, and cultural traditions. For their projects, they draw on analog electronics as well as acoustic methods and involve local musicians and their communities in the development of new sonic forms. The performance in the KHM auditorium reflects this approach, which has already unfolded in multifaceted ways through international collaborations with, for example, Robyn Schulkowsky, the Ensemble Modern, the Berlin State Opera, and Wura Samba. Large-scale projects such as Fieldlines, Ten Cities, BLNRB, and Soundcamp South Asia also demonstrate their ongoing interest in transcultural sound movements spanning club culture, experimental music, and contemporary formats. Her label NOLAND serves as a kind of living transit point for these developments and underscores her commitment to shaping creative processes beyond genre-bound boundaries. The event is part of the program of the Sound Lab at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and will take place on July 2, 2026, with free admission.
