Summer Cologne

From 17 July to 1 September 2026, Summer Cologne will once again transform the streets, squares and historic sites of the cathedral city into public stages for a sophisticated and multifaceted cultural program. Expressive and imaginative, the event program combines street art, theater, music, dance, film and cabaret, with events such as the atmospheric headphone cinema, the city-connected harbour sounds at the Chocolate Museum or intimate courtyard sounds setting well-known highlights and at the same time giving space to innovative productions. The free events promote barrier-free encounters within the diverse urban community and emphasize cultural responsibility and regionality as central values. The program reflects the diversity of voices in Cologne by subtly addressing ethical and social discourses. Summer Cologne not only celebrates artistic diversity, but also presents Cologne as an authentic place with historical roots and a cosmopolitan dynamic.
