Ruby Braun and Joana June invite you to a special evening at Cologne's Thalia am Neumarkt. On this evening, life, literature and friendship merge. The event "Talk & Lesung mit Ruby Braun und Joana June" will feature two important works: "Bestie" and "Glory of Broken Dreams". "Bestie" tells the story of a young influencer who embarks on a journey of self-discovery and reflection with her new roommate, a budding playwright. The focus is on the dynamics of friendship and identity in a digitally networked world. "Glory of Broken Dreams", on the other hand, takes you to the legendary Hotel Lichtenstein, where dreams come true, but can also come at a high price. The protagonist Charlotte fights for her place in the vaudeville scene, supported by the mysterious Willem, whose own dreams and goals lurk in the shadows. An evening full of nuances that celebrates literature and explores the limits of our understanding of success, passion and the price of our dreams.
