In the heart of the Cologne “Südstadt” district, the Vrings-Veedels-Advent presents itself at the historic Severins City Gate on the Chlodwigplatz square with products from the "Veedel" (district) and the region. With various drinks and food offers and a children's carousel for the little ones, the day can be comfortably ended here, for example after a shopping tour in the neighbouring districts. At the booth "Veedelshütte" changing suppliers present their goods over the course of the Christmas market. At the booth “Projekthütte” non-profit associations with social projects are presented one after the other. At the same time, the history of Cologne, especially the history of the neighbouring “Severins” district, can be discovered: a slide show projected on the old tower wall and an app with information and pictures about the Veedel provide interesting insights.
