On the western side of the Hohenzollernbrücke bridge is the only equestrian statue depicting Kaiser Wilhelm II (1859 – 1941). Wilhelm II was King of Prussia and the last German emperor, reigning from 1888 until the revolution of 1918. The equestrian statue of his father, Kaiser Friedrich III, is also on the western side of the bridge.
