Concerts, Conference, Community and Clubbing

What defines the nighttime heartbeat of a city? It’s largely the city’s club culture. And that’s also true of Cologne. But what’s the situation like in detail? And how attractive are Cologne’s clubs for locals and clubbers? Every year, the Cologne Club Days highlight, promote and celebrate their urban culture venues on Friday and  Saturday — with concerts, round-table talks, discussions, workshops and a long Club Night. The goal is to present diversity, reveal relevance and build on potential.

The Cologne Club Days are designed for everyone who is involved with Cologne’s clubs: clubbers, party people, club operators, interested visitors, event organizers, city institutions and cultural decision-makers. Thanks to this broad range of perspectives, the result is a colourful programme of daytime and evening activities. There’s still free admission to these event venues.

Savouring memories, highlighting the present, safeguarding the future

On Conference Day (Friday), lectures and panel discussions offer in-depth, discursive exploration of emerging developments, social roles, and ethical and sustainable perspectives shaping the club scene. Experts from practice, culture, and academia discuss responsible community conduct, demonstrating pathways towards a sustainable, inclusive, and culturally diverse club landscape.

Community Day & Club Night

Centered on Bartholomäus-Schink-Straße and around the Ehrenfeldgürtel, Saturday focuses on practical networking, experience exchange, and cultural interaction. Skill-sharing sessions, live concerts, and workshops create an interactive environment for direct communication among artists, club operators, and music enthusiasts.

The following club night in the Ehrenfeld area presents a curated lineup of local musicians in various clubs, consciously celebrating the regional diversity, inclusivity, and creativity found within Cologne’s club culture.

Cologne Club Days started with KLUBKOMM in 2010

Cologne Club Days is a relatively new format created after Cologne Club Nights, which was launched in 2010 right after the founding of KLUBKOMM, an association with about 100 members that represents the interests of Cologne clubs and event organizers. The members include bars, DJs, music journalists, music managers and clubs.

KLUBKOMM represents its members regarding various issues, supports numerous activities, cooperates with many public services such as local authorities and national institutions, and attracts attention and support.
