Angie Hiesl and Roland Kaiser, in collaboration with Lothar Kittstein, present the provocative installation "ICH.!!!-2025" at Ebertplatz in Cologne. Four massive red sculptures break through everyday urban life and confront visitors acoustically and visually with a haunting reflection on the ego in a contemporary context. The continuously played texts address the dangers of a radicalizing world in which social structures dominated by the ego call our coexistence into question. Based on the increasing polarization in the post-pandemic age, the installation questions how much stubbornness a community can still bear before the individual becomes a danger to the collective. Ebertplatz, an urban space full of contrasts and friction, is the ideal venue for this artistic-critical debate. A discussion with the artists will also be presented on October 24, providing deeper insight into this socio-political work. "ICH.!!!-2025" illustrates how fragile individual subjectivity has become in the face of digitally manipulated realities and invites visitors to an interactive and thought-provoking experience.
