Winter magic at the lake

From November 20 to December 27, 2026, the Winterzauber am See will once again welcome visitors to the lakeside terraces of the Leonardo Royal Hotel in Cologne’s Stadtwald. For the sixth time, a winter market will be set up at the Kahnweiher, combining mulled wine, food, family activities, and views of the water.

You can look forward to winemaker’s mulled wine, hot beverages, a BBQ, other food options, and a children’s carousel right by the lake. For families, there’s also a children’s program featuring a fairy-tale tent and other activities. This makes “Winter Magic by the Lake” perfect for a visit with friends, an outing with kids, or a break after a walk through the Stadtwald.

New for 2026 is the snow globe restaurant for groups of up to 20 people. An à la carte Christmas dinner is offered there. Inquiries can be made directly by email to schneekugelrestaurant@schulteundschulte.de.
