Within easy reach of the RheinEnergieSTADION is the leisurely Adenauer Weiher, a place to refuel with fresh air. A path for walking or jogging circles the six-hectare lake on the edge of the Lindenthal district. There are some meadows next to the lake. From here you can reach the artificially created Decksteiner Weiher and the adjacent Jahnwiese with the monument to Jahn, the father of gymnastics, inaugurated in 1928.

The pond was created in the course of the expansion of the city forest in the 1920s. It was named after the then Lord Mayor of Cologne, Konrad Adenauer.
