Impressions
Located in the midst of Cologne’s inner city, the Museum Schnütgen invites visitors to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of the Middle Ages. The museum is housed in one of Cologne’s oldest churches, the Romanesque Cäcilienkirche, where medieval works of art unfold all of their majesty in an impressive exhibition. In addition to one-of-a-kind sculptures and precious artefacts, visitors can admire rare textiles and stained-glass windows from a period spanning eight centuries and discover many rich facets of the Middle Ages.
The silence and aura of the Romanesque Cäcilienkirche invites you to experience the works of art in their spiritual charisma and beauty.
